Austral Surveillance first started its relationship with Biometric Identity Systems (BIS) in August 2002 with a project that introduced the earliest Tecom/Sagem
Biometric access control hybrid system in Australia.

This relationship has continued to grow, with Austral Surveillance installing Sagem Hardware and BIS Software at sites such as:
HPA Salmat,
South Sydney Corporate Park
, Stuart Dickson Produce and E.C Throsby.

This partnership also helped create the
largest biometrics site in the southern hemisphere
